If you are getting a message that says "internet explorer has stopped working," there are a couple of ways to fix this issue. Browsers stop working for several reasons. Sometimes, the browser will crash because you are trying to install a program that is incompatible with the browser. Viruses can also cause the browser to stop working by altering the registry. Once you identify the source of the problem, it is easier to find a solution.
Instructions
  1. Registry Edit
1.       Go to "Start" on your computer desktop and type "regedit" in the search box. Press "Enter." This will open the registry for editing.

2.       Navigate to this registry key: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ SQMClient\Windows\DisabledSessions."

3.       Find the subkey "MachineThrottling" and delete it.

4.       Close the registry editor and reboot your computer to save the changes.

  1. Thumbnail Fix

1.       Go to "Start > Network."

2.       Select "Organize" on the upper left corner of the menu.

3.       Select "Folder > Search Options."

4.       Select "View > Always Show Icons, Never Thumbnail."

Uncheck "Display Files Icons On Thumbnails." Hit "OK" and close the window.http://sanchtech.blogspot.com/p/blog-page_9433.html
