FAILED BOOTING OR DARK SCREEN ON PC

It’s my pleasure to share this vital information with you detailed and without charges, what I will be talking about is “Failed booting on PC”, by now PC shouldn’t be a hard word but for the sake of beginners, it simply means “Personal Computer”.
Dark screen or failed booting as some might call it is common in older PC as well as new ones, not because the owner is careless but due to time per numbers of operation. I use that for logical reasons.
It is common the PCs that generate greater heat, though some will say AMD processor are always a victim, but I totally disagree, AMD is emphatically modeled and equipped with metallic materials that make transfer of heat easier and circulatory. Some will dispute that but I leave that debate for another day.
When using your PC, the processor generate heat due to current intake and task at hand, over time the heat is greater and your heat sink has to be perfectly structured and always ready to absorb heat in such an out flow direction. The position of your processor determines the location and direction of your heat sink flow of heat. For laptops, its always by the left hand side of your system while facing you and for Desktops, Its mostly in the middle of the motherboard on top of the processor with the heat sink thereby blowing the heated air to its environment and the chassis fan transfer it out of the system casing, regardless of where it is or how it’s been structured, the primary objectives is to absorb it, transfer it from the processor to it tail end where cooler fan and probably chassis fan can blow the hot air out of the system for continuous cooling system, just like a car cooling system.
Why all the above explanations?
Well, it’s good to know the source of one’s problem, don’t you agree? That explains one to the causes of failed booting or dark screen in PCs
How does that affect booting?
Good, since heat is generated from such a consistent source of operation the term linear expansion applies. The heat sink is not only design to carry heat mainly from the processor but as well from the display chips and other chips that generate heat. When one of these (Cooling fan, Heat sink or cooling paste) is malfunctioning, then your chips and processor start to overheat and since there are not heat guage in most PCs, your systems begins to shut down unprecedentedly, thereby warring  down the longevity of your PCs operation period in some cases it burns the processor, display chip or make the soldered lead melt and makes no contact with the pins or circuit board thereby making operation difficult and impossible but mostly  burn out the RAM or Blow electro-hazardous dirt to the base of the RAM and infecting it metallic legs or pins thereby detaching from the RAM bus. Hmmm, RAM?
Yes RAM (Random Access Memory), from this point of view I will not go into details how it works or where it’s located but for now, it’s in a slate form, its embedded and in most cases detachable and replaceable if its not an onboard ones. The RAM get heated as well but this time, gets overheated because it’s the second inline to be called into action immediately you power up your system. Pressing your power button, it send digital signal and current to the processor (I know some have a diverse idea but let’s leave it that way), display chips and waiting for the internal memory to tell it what next to do which could be to boot, or entering BIOS or postpone booting for reasons best known to the User. Though some will argue that the firmware is to perform this task but I say, Firmware translates the default settings, factory installed components and identifies the hardware install while the RAM compliment. For the sake of this post, take it that way and let’s leave the debate for future.
Still don’t get it.
It’s simply means one way or the other, the RAM gets faulty and hinder the boot process either pre-boot or post boot. The aforementioned causes are the sources of failed booting or dark screen expect for a damages screen which I think is easily detected by pressing Caps lock, Numbers Lock and checking the leds if responding, then your problem is with the screen itself otherwise solution to one or these causes above should resolve the issue.
Solutions:
Some will jump into conclusion by saying, replacing it. But I say, check out the problem, correct the defect before replacing any parts because if you replace without correcting that, you might damage the new parts as well expose your PCs to greater damage and finally destroy the Motherboard.
Also, while replacing, replace with component of same ratings and configurations.
Note:
In technology, there’s nothing you need to force in replacing or disassembling nor assembling. What doesn’t fit doesn’t fit period. Check the directions, lift the clips, don’t tamper with the jumpers unless you understand it settings and before replacing, disconnect completely from mains and battery including CMOS battery.
To before warn is to before harm. A word is enough for a wise.
Thanks for being there, thanks for reading and finally, thanks for making me a poster.

Nothing is actually free but some are 99.9% free, depending on your definition for free. Without consulting dictionary, FREE is not physically restrained, obstructed, or fixed; unimpeded. To be precise, the free I mentioned above is without cost or payment. This leads us to a currency called BITCOIN.
What is Bitcoin?
Bitcoin is a digital currency. You can use Bitcoin to pay for goods and services and there are exchanges where you can buy and sell Bitcoin. There is no central bank and anyone can make new coins. Bitcoin currently stand an exchange rate of $265 = 1btc.
Bitcoin is a peer-to-peer currency. Peer-to-peer means that no central authority issues new money or tracks transactions. These tasks are managed collectively by the network.
A Bitcoin is the base currency of the Bitcoin market. It is like how we reference a Dollar or a Euro, and like the different currencies in the world, the Bitcoin trades at different values based primarily on speculation, supply and demand.
One of the most attractive features of Bitcoin is that they are not controlled by any government. They cannot be artificially inflated or deflated. A monetary authority cannot pump more of them into the market to boost the economy. Basically, there is a set amount going out over time and as time goes on the amount entering the market decreases.
The way that they are entered into the market is a process called “Mining”. Basically, computers solve mathematical algorithms to earn the Bitcoin. They are very complex and take a lot of computing power to solve. The more computers trying to solve the equations, the harder the equations become to solve, the less you get for mining.
Have I answered the question, of course yes? For more details, inbox me but if you go thoroughly through this piece, I had solve the mystery.

How Do Bitcoin Transactions Work?

When a person wants to make a transaction, they broadcast that they want some of their Bitcoins moved to another person or companies wallet and within a few seconds, everyone running the Bitcoin client receives this message. They may send the Bitcoin from their home computer or an application running on their cell phone for an in-person purchase. When Bitcoin just started, users would have to enter the exact address of the recipient and the exact amount of Bitcoin to pay a specific dollar amount. Fortunately, things have gotten much easier. Here are a few of the ways you can transfer funds.

Manually using the Bitcoin client:

The Bitcoin software that runs on Bitcoin user’s computers has a screen that you can copy and paste the address of the recipient and type in the amount of Bitcoin you would like to send. It is a little cumbersome for day to day use, but it is a tried and true way to use your Bitcoin.

 Using your Smartphone:

For in person purchases, you will want to use a smartphone app like Bitcoin Wallet. This allows you to use your phones camera to scan a QR code that contains the amount and the address provided by the merchant. These apps do all of the hard work for the customer so they just has to scan the automated QR code approve the transaction. It takes only seconds and is easier than cash or credit. Now let’s go through the process of making bitcoin online absolutely free.
Required Tools:
-          A Personal Computer
-          A smartphone (If you really love flexibility and comfort)
-          Data bundle (Am sure you can’t get connect ultimately without it)
-          A Bitcoin wallet
-          And little of your time (that’s why I say 99.9% free because time is work and work is money)
Start – up:
Get a wallet. You can either store your wallet locally or store it online. Coinbase.com is an online wallet that is surprisingly simple to set up. Wallets require you to use or download a fairly large blockchain file – about 6GB – so downloading and updating a local wallet may be a non-starter. Like all wealth storage mediums, keeping your bitcoins “local” is probably a better idea than trusting a web service, but that’s a matter of private preference. There is no preferred wallet type and there are obvious trade-offs to both. Privacy advocates would probably say a local wallet is best.
Once you’ve create a wallet, you’ll get an address like this: 1BEkUGADFbrEShQb9Xr4pKPtM8jAyiNQsJ.
Take note of your address. You need to set it up thereby having an identifier id and a password. Visit coinbase.com for a secure wallet, it’s absolutely free and safe. Or blockchain.info but I recommend the former, either ways all is free and safe.
Where and how to earn free Bitcoin:
There are lots of ways to earn free Bitcoin but for the sake of this piece I will recommend two ways and probably will explain one exclusively.
The first one is MINING BITCOIN. This Topic I will like to leave for another day but for reference purpose, I have brush through it.
1.                  Get a miner. There are a number of mining options for multiple platforms although OSX users may find themselves in a bit of a pickle. Miners use spare GPU cycles to power the mining operation, much like services like SETI@Home uses spare cycles for finding intelligent life. Miners, on the other hand, use these cycles to help handle peer-to-peer processes associated with bitcoins. Thus by doing “work” you are maintaining the network as well.
GUIMiner is the simplest solution for Windows users as it allows you to create miners using almost all standard graphics cards. You can download it here. 50Miner is also a popular solution. Both require you to enter your worker info and pool and they’ll start mining.
Linux users can run miners like CGMiner. An excellent guide to installing a miner on Ubuntu is available here.
OS X users can use DiabloMiner, a two-year old command-line program that will mine using OpenCL. Sadly, it uses deprecated calls to Bitcoin and is quite a bit slower. As a result, you need to run your own proxy, Stratum that allows Diablo to connect with services like Slush’s pool. Both of these programs usually run without issue on OSX although you may need to install OpenCL for OSX.
To mine I’ve created a script that I run in Terminal that simply runs the proxy in the background and then connects Diablo. Note the last two arguments are necessary for Mountain Lion.
./stratum-mining-proxy-master/mining_proxy.py &
./DiabloMiner-OSX.sh -u WORKERNAME -p WORKERPASSWORD -o localhost -r 8332 -w 64 -na
RPCMiner is far easier to run – you simply click an icon and enter some data – and both have very rudimentary, text-based interfaces. Running Diablo on my iMac has not had much effect on application performance under OS X although it does slow down my Windows 8 machine considerably.
Keep your mind on your money. Bitcoin are baffling in that they are wildly simple to use and mine. Speculators, then, would probably be able to throw hundreds of machines at the problem and gather Bitcoin like raindrops, right? Wrong. As more Bitcoin are found, they become more difficult to find. This profitability calculator will help you understand what you’re up against but understand that this isn’t a sure thing. I’ve run my systems for a weekend and seen a mere $1.50 – enough for a coke – but other users may have improved hardware and methods to succeed. In short, if it costs more to run your hardware than you gain in Bitcoin, you’re probably doing something wrong.
Good luck in your journey and enjoy your first foray into this wild and wooly world.
2.                  Another popular means of earning free Bitcoin is via FAUCET
There are some sites where one can get free Bitcoin. You might be showed some advertisement or it might be incentive for spending more time at their site, to gamble with or do something else there which will be to their benefit in some way. Or it might be a way to give newbies a start with getting and using Bitcoin, which, it is hoped, will benefit Bitcoin as a whole. As long as anything like spending more time at their site or doing something else is optional, then I will consider the coins given out there as "free." Sites which include pop-ups, adfly-like redirections, or similarly annoying hoops to jump through, will not be added to the list.

NOTE:
All faucets which only use Micro wallet to payout have been removed. Micro wallet is no longer paying out. If a faucet below has an option to use Micro wallet as a payout method choose to use the other method it offers if you want to get paid.
***
Beware of sites/threads which just copy the entries from this official thread and hides the links behind url redirectors, making them untrustworthy or a spam-filled inconvenience at best. Also beware of faucet rotator-timer things that claim to make it easy for you to submit your address to each site at the proper times, especially ones you have to download to your own computer. It is hard to
know what is going on behind the curtain. Also even some of the sites listed here will have their own list of free Bitcoin sites but hide them behind coin url and/or adfly links, and other dubious and spammy things like that. For your convenience and safety it is best to just use their faucet, and avoid the other links there, and then come back to use the verified and maintained list of links here.

###
Many of these sites only payout once a day, or even less often, to save on transaction fees, so don't get too worried if you don't see a payment for several hours. If after more than a week you still don't get anything, or you have any other problems, post in this thread. Some of the operators of these various sites follow this thread. Also note the * beside some entries and what it means as explained under the list of entries below.  Also, many sites these days will not payout until you have built up a minimum balance, often over a number of days, so that they won't have to payout small amounts [ "dust" ]. This is good for both them and you since "dust" transactions are problematic (you can read more about "dust" and its problems in other threads on this forum ). Update:  Most of these sites use a payout service, like Micro wallet for example, which aggregates payments and pays out to ones Bitcoin address when the total balance rises above a certain minimum value.
The listed sites below are some trusted and tested site to really earn free Bitcoin with ease and no work required. They support Nigerians especially any IP so no need to tunnel or VPN, no verification and approval, get your e-mail address ready for work.

There are tens of hundreds of such site online but having carefully gone through some, they require little more “know – how” about Bitcoin, but for starters, try these out and if need be, contact me via my contact channels listed on this site. I look forward to hear breakthrough testimony for committed beings, questions and comment are highly welcomed, if you’re sending abuse/insult, please be organized, constructive, and reasonable else your case will not be treated. Thanks and God bless has you step into total financial freedom.

TETHER YOUR BLACKBERRY SUBSCRIPTION ON PC

I know it took me this long to add to the list but I must confess, I’ve been busy of late not too busy for you (guys) but battling with paramount issues. Thanks for your understanding.
Without wasting much of our time, let me quickly state the requirements
i .                 A Personal Computer (which might be a laptop or desktop)
     ii.                 A blackberry Smartphone
iii.              USB cable or Bluetooth hardware or Wireless network card
iv.              Tether Software (Both PC and Mobile versions)
Note:
For the sake of this write up, I will silent the wireless connectivity aspect for further purpose because I want us to experimentize it with the lowest Smartphone so that we get familiar with its procedures before advancing.
Set up
At this juncture, I believe you have a clean and safe operating system post-loaded machine, running at its original speed, if not kindly click here to know how to make your pc run as new.
Procedures:
     1.     Visit here, download the tether.exe file, the “exe” simply means executable format file (programmers knows better), once the downloading is complete, install it on your PC, it might get to a stage when it ask whether you have install it on your Smartphone as well, no worries, just visit http://tether.com/t/tether.jad on your phone browser and you can/must download and install it on the phone
Now continue with the installation on your PC, it will install tap…network interface and seek your permission to continue, continue the installation and am sure it will install your phone drivers so no need to ask/look for drivers, launch both the PC and phone version of the installed application, if it opens, Congrat! otherwise, uninstall and re-install.
    2.     Insert your registered Glo sim card into your phone, boot it up and text your preferred BB subscription code to 777 e.g BBCMONTH to 777 for 3Gbs/31days @ #1,000
It will then changes status to big 3G with blackberry logo beside network strength.
Note:
It’s advisable to check whether it might work on your phone or not before going for a large bandwidth, so I recommend a day subscription to check the status of the 3G reception and if your PC speed is fast enough. I want to believe all went through.
     3.     Launch tether on your phone, it will pop up a dial up showing options such as “How would you like to connect”
i.                   USB
ii.                 Bluetooth
iii.              Quit
Choose your preferred mode of connection, it should show the followings:
a.     Connection: USB (If you choose USB) or Bluetooth (If its Bluetooth connect you choose)
b.     Pin: Here it shows your BB pin
c.      License: If the network is good, it should show “Trial”
d.     Packets: 0 up, 0 down
e.      Status: Device must be connected to PC by USB cable or Bluetooth depending on the mode chosen.
Open tether on your PC, it will ask the same question in step 3, choose appropriately, so it show similar dial-up box on PC as well. Connect your cable or Bluetooth with PC and phone, immediately the last sub-item will changes its status to connected and both packets begins counts.
Open your PC browser, without delay or tweaking, visit all your desire websites and download according to your BB plan because if you don’t remember your bandwidth, Glo and tether will remind you when you exhaust it, lolz. Enjoy it while it last.

INSTALLING WINDOWS 7 VIA USB MASS STORAGE

It’s a good thing that your USB ports are working perfectly otherwise it might be difficult for this and many more yet to come. You see I stopped lastly on How to repairs faulty USB Ports not only for repair sake but to be able to benefit from the functionalities that comes thereafter, which this is one of. It’s relatively becoming difficult to enjoy PCs without making use of portable devices, ranging from wired accessories to wireless accessories. Wireless keyboard is one of the common devices particularly in practice by most users, so as glad as I am, so you (my reader) must be since your USB ports are in perfect shapes. Let’s go for it. Carrying all along a bunch of DVD & CD installation media is quite stressful and disturbing if not even annoying, while installation on most notbooks and notepads are greatly impossible without USB mass stick. Either you like it or not, the speed of installation from a USB storage device is relatively faster that through DVD drive and the last but not the least, fear of getting scratches on the plates of a DVD or breaking the plate accidentally is minimized with the option of USB Drive. Tools required Windows 7 installation media (Windows 7 DVD) USB drive with at least 4GBs free space. Procedures: Step 1: I will be using windows 7 as a case study - Plug-in your mass storage, backup your data and probably format it. - Open the command prompt administrator privilege (Go to Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Right-click on “Command Prompt” and select “Run as Administrator”). Step 2: - Type in this command: “DISKPART” without the quotaion marks. Step 3: - Type in this command, “LIST DISK”, this will list the entire available disk(s) present in the computer system. - After typing the command, it should look like this “DISKPART> list disk” Note: Your computer hard disk is the “Disk 0” which will be included in the List with the size, free space and status which will show “online”. So with size and status you ought to know your USB mass storage disk number. - Type in SELECT DISK (with it number starting from 1 since Disk 0 is the default Hard disk) i.e. if Disk 1 0r 2 is your mass storage, then type “SELECT DISK 1”. Step 4: - Proceed by typing the following commands one after the other: - CLEAN - CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY - SELECT PARTITION 1 - ACTIVE - FORMAT FS=NTFS QUICK - ASSIGN - EXIT Once those commands are sucessfully executed, then you can minimize the command prompt and proceed to the next step. Step 5: - Insert windows 7 installation media and note the drive letter, mine was “F:” type the following commands - F:CD BOOT - CD BOOT - BOOTSECT.EXE/NT60 G: (please note that G: is the USB mass storage drive letter) - EXIT Step 6: - Copy all the content on the Windows 7 installation disk into your USB mass storage and that will do for now, your mass storage is ready to boot for use of installations. Note: In your BIOS settings, remember to enable “USB BOOT” while also changing your boot priority to USB DEVICE. Please show your support by commenting, thanks and hope it helps.

REPAIR YOUR USB PORTS YOURSELF

I was on leave for quite awhile, hope am back fully anyway. Today I will be discussing an important topic that rock hard in the world of Computer, why many if not all motherboard at a specific period in their life spam malfunction.
Well there’s always 99.9% assurance that users are responsible for motherboard malfunctions but sometimes it’s natural and inevitable.
I had read lots of post on repairing USB ports but most are not detailed. Note this; “Before pointing a screwdriver toward any screw, be sure you’ve exhausted all alternatives”.
In most cases, Software that is not well coordinated or pile up in registry, are causes of many malfunctions of hardware.
Oh! I love portable devices; easy mobility, lightweight, energy savers … are all advantages of portable devices, but nowadays, it’s becoming more difficult to maintain.
USB ports allow you to connect various USB (Universal Serial Bus) devices, such as printers, Bluetooth, Phones, cameras, external HDD e.t.c. It’s unfortunate when we are on the verge of enjoy its functionalities, it partially or wholly stops working.
IDENTIFYING THE PROBLEMS:
The first suspect is the Software (I mean its drivers), in my own idea, it’s a little collections of files and probably small executable programs in which the information about specific hardware is in script and commands for the execution of a particular function are coordinated.
You see, most manufactures updates each driver for some hardware sequentially whereby in your windows settings, unknowing your defaults settings is to update drivers automatically, but unfortunately at times during the process of update, your network connectivity might break or unexpected interruption causes break in transmission thereby causing hardware malfunction (though not often) and since your update is on schedule which some set an interval of months, after the corruption, between the first 24hrs of detection of such problems, we rush in drawing our screwdriver towards the motherboard and if care is not taken, you mess up the entire system. “Experience has taught me so”.
SOLUTION:
Microsoft Windows and other popular Operating Systems made it easier to update drivers, all you need doing is getting connected and navigate to your device manager, click on your Universal Serial Bus Controller, in the drop down boxes, left click on each drivers and click on update driver software, it will show a dialog box, click on automatically update drivers, wait awhile for the systems to locate its driver and get it installed, restart your PC and you are good to go.
Alternatively, locate your motherboard information such as (Current Date/Time, Computer Names, Operating System, System Manufacturer, System Model, Bios, Processor, Memory e.t.c.), well for the sake of this post, all you need are Bios, System Model and Manufacturer, then visit your manufacturer website, search with your device information, there you find the entire update for all hardware installed on your PC, download them and install while your hardware gets the update it effect after restarting your PC but I recommend updating your BIOS also because of effectiveness and that should solve the problems.
IF PROBLEMS PERSIST:
Then you are in for a long probe, tighten your girdle because this is the stage hardware repair comes in.
I will not state categorically how to dissemble laptops because nowadays we got a lot of them from different companies but I will highlight precautionary measures to be taken into account.
1.     Make sure the first thing to do is unplug your PC from the mains
2.     Remove your battery that is located either at the bottom of your laptop or beside it (In order to avoid short-circuit and possible the only method to get your casing detachable).
3.     Remove your CMOS battery (so that your PC lose any memory of it been dissembled and to let new settings takes effect).
4.     Lift flex of any length and size with extra-care and detach carefully.
Now all I recommend is a little cleaning, experience has taught me that when motherboards gather excessive dust (stuffy), it causes hardware overheating whereby ICs and ceramics malfunction, so clean carefully and check if the silver metallic guide, guiding the inserted USB devices is not lose because it may also result in contact error where cables or lined metal might not align properly, if such is the case, use a pinpoint screwdriver to pinch the mental guide firmly to its original shape, connect the flex back, reassemble your PC and power on it, now check, if the problems persist, contact (sanchtech)/hardware consultant immediate.
“ADVANCED DETAIL TO BE POSTED LATER”

Tuesday, October 1, 2013

It’s been awhile, Am sincerely sorry for the wait, today am going to share a story with you, A month ago, I was like you (I mean not knowing what might end the relationship between my phone and I).
I was glad I knew this newly introduced technology pushed on many Android phones while most users don’t know it really existed.
I use my phone for lots of transactions, which include PayPal, E-bay, AlertPay, Western Union to mention but few, oh… I love the VPN service on that phone, whoa, it’s superb, with that flash player, I enjoy flash web pages as well.
        What’s this story all about?
Thanks, I started laughing over the weekend when I realized someone has put asunder between me and my phone.
        What really transpired?
I was at a joint, enjoying my drinks when I realized my phone had traveled without my consent, I called the line, only to hear a deep voice ‘Don’t call this line again’ after some tries, the line was switched off, so I knew there’s a problem.
          Way forward:
Thanks to the new Android tool, this is magnificent, with this tool; you can locate your device, ring it (in cases of misplacement) and also remotely wipe all the data on it, which saves you lots of data.
By now, you should be asking why do you need to remotely locate or data wipe your Android phone, it a great thing if it’s activated on your device just for a day like this. A friend of mine often say “99.9% error on a computer processing is bound to human error” you might even lost your phone at home, instead of going through thorough searching that may prove abortive, why not ‘Ring’ your phone, did I just say ring your phone? Yes, with the new “Android Device Manager” your phone will ring till the battery run low unless you intervene, in other case, perhaps you are worried about data security in case your phone was stolen, you’ve got everything under remote control.
What are the requirements?
1.     An android device that run on Android OS 2.2+
2.     A Google account

From my source, Android Device manager has been available to Google Business Account users for awhile; Google started rolling it out to Standard Accounts early August, 2013. So its possible this function might not yet be on your device, all you have to do is to check back in few days for the updates.
          Activating Android Device Manager

This Manager is deactivated by default, to activate it, simply click on your home screen menu, scroll to settings and open it,
click on Location & Security->Device Administrators, there you see “Android Device Manager” inactive,

once you click on it, it shows two options “Activate”/ “Cancel”, click activate, instantly the red flag ought to change to green and ticked but earlier version of this device might need some personal clicks, just get it activated either way, now you can return to your home screen.

Time to perform functions on Device Manager Web portal
Now visit Android Device Manager Web portal , the first time you access this service, you will have to accept an agreement to allow Android Device Manager to access location.
Then you can select your device from the drop down menu located at the corner, where you can perform any of these three tasks.

1.     Using GPS/Wi-Fi location from the phone, which will locate your phone, depending on how recent your GPS data was. If its turned off (lets say for some days), it will remote your location as unavailable.

2.     Ring the phone to locate it once its in a range you could hear it, even if its in flight mode where vibration is switch off while ringing at 100% volume, where you have to switch it off by tapping your power button or else, it rings still eternity.

3.     Wipe remotely, this function initializes the factory wipe on the device but may not be able to wipe your SD card depending on the hardware/OS version, I learnt that this function of wiping SD card is available on business accounts, which I think if not already deployed in the standard accounts might be available soon.
So, I wiped my phone and to my surprise, few hours later, a kid brought the phone to me that he saw it on the floor showing light constantly and saw a man, who’s movement seems as if he dropped the phone and ran away, true or false, my phone and I had been reunited now, Thanks to Google for that wonderful tool.
